Your node keeps authority over block templates and transaction policy. Astraeus verifies contributed work and coordinates direct coinbase allocation.

Register your payout identity
In your DATUM Gateway, open Config → Mining. Set Pool Address to the Bitcoin Blake2B address that should receive your share of a block.
This address is your contributor identity. Never substitute the Astraeus coordinator address.
Establish the coordinator link
Open Config → DATUM Pool and enter the host and port shown above. Leave Pool Public Key empty so a compatible Gateway can retrieve it during the first handshake.
If your Gateway requires key pinning, obtain the Astraeus Alpha public key from the operator before connecting.
Transmit contributor identity
Enable Pass Worker Names, Pass Full Usernames and Pooled Mining Only. Keep Always Pay Self enabled.
The full username lets Astraeus bind accepted work to your payout identity.
Restart and confirm telemetry
Save the Gateway configuration and restart the service. A valid link produces coinbase requests, followed by accepted shares when submitted work reaches target.
After the first accepted share, return here and trace your payout address.
Connection diagnostics
Confirm that outbound TCP traffic to port 28915 is allowed, the host contains no https:// prefix, and the Gateway is using DATUM v0.4.1-beta.
A connection alone does not create a portal entry. Your address appears only after the coordinator accepts the first share submitted with that address.
